Hi, I'm Laura.
Strategy with heart.
For more than 20 years, I've been doing the unglamorous, deeply meaningful work of helping nonprofits organize their data, build better systems, and tell their story. I've sat at the kitchen-table end of relationships and the spreadsheet end of CRM, and I love them both.
Most recently, as the sole marketing and development professional at the Brophy Community Foundation, I built and led the HubSpot CRM from scratch, grew organic search to 110,000+ annual impressions, and generated 5,200+ donate button clicks. The work was equal parts technical, editorial, and pastoral, which is exactly how I like it.
I'm a CFRE candidate (Summer 2026) and is completing a Nonprofit Management certificate at Northwestern's Kellogg School, with a focus on data analytics and impact measurement. My approach is grounded in Irish and Jesuit values: hospitality, accompaniment, attention to the person in front of you, and a stubborn belief that small organizations can do transformative things.
Mission True is the practice I built to bring all of it together, for nonprofit leaders who need a trusted partner, not another vendor.
